WOW !! I had to get on here, today was the first day I drove on the highway for several months. It is amazing just how much better miliage you can get from doing 65 and driving like a normal person as DW days..I was getting 19.5--20.1 solo today.I must be getting old, the things other people are saying are right more so now than ever

12.5 Towing on flat ground - 65 to 70 mph.

17 - 20 Solo - 17 at 75 mph and 20 at 65 mph.

I have learned to slow down a little lately. You get where your gone a few minutes later, but it is alot easier on the wallet.

10 MPG (highway) towing (with water on board) averaging 68MPH
17 MPG (highway) not towing averaging 78MPH

11.5 MPG (highway) towing (with water on board) averaging 55MPH
20 MPG (highway) not towing averaging 65MPH

Friend of mine has the same truck but a dually, runs an Edge Juice w/ Attitude, cold air intake and no muffler / hollowed out CAT. He pulls a big trailer with a S205 Bobcat and a Bobcat dump truck / buggy on it and claims 17 MPG towing on the highway. I want to see this for myself. If it's true I'm sold on Edge Juice w / Attitude!
I guess another bonus of the controller is that it monitors your EGT as well.

Would make a lot more sense if everyone would include their engine and rear-end number. I have a 2008 F-350 dually with a V-10 and a 4.30 rear end. Had the truck about a year and love it. Tow a 40' 15,300# (ready for travel) Open Road.

MPG: (all things equal--no hills, no wind, etc.) 13 empty, 8 towing.

Ditto with my rig. While towing somewhere between 8-9 depending on terrain, and that's while going 60-65mph.

15/16 towing a 24 low profile 5th wheel with an 05 Dodge Cummins running around 55/60 mph. 23+ mpg non towing at the same reasonable speeds. Increase the speed and things drop off quickly both towing and non towing!! Speed is the most significant factor in fuel mileage on all vehicles.
