We get 11.3 towing and 14.5 without towing. And our truck is not broke in yet. MPG will get better when broke in. Worked that way with our last diesel truck.

9-11- towing---17-18 not. We only have 6,500 miles on the truck and I see that the MPG is going up.

10.5-11.5 towing depending on speed, 20-21.5 empty depending on how much city/ highway mixed, actually suffers a little on the highway over 65 due to the low gearing of the 6 speed manual, but it's great for towing and that's all it does now since I bought a car to commute in.

WOW !! I had to get on here, today was the first day I drove on the highway for several months. It is amazing just how much better miliage you can get from doing 65 and driving like a normal person as DW days..I was getting 19.5--20.1 solo today.I must be getting old, the things other people are saying are right more so now than ever

Driving habits make a large difference in fuel mileage, as does 5'er aerodynamics. My mileage ( none over 62mph towing & none over 72 freeway not towing; 11-13 towing, 19-20 not.

This is the best collection of honest folks talking about their mileage. Congratulations! I am happy to have found this group. To better compare may I suggest to mention truck model, year, gear ratio and whether or not dually. Thanks again for all that participate:05, F350, 6.0, dually, 4:10 gears best empty is 14.5 - 15 hwy; City 13-14. Towing not yet checked - just got a 343 Everest.

With my old 1979 F250 S/C 400 CID:

towing (4500#) 9 mpg (11,000# GCW)
hwy empty 14 mpg

With my present truck; 2004 3500 RAM CTD 4x4 QC 3.73 48RE SB

towing (10000#) 9 - 10 mpg (18,000# GCW)
hwy empty 20 - 22 mpg (7,700#)

I posted previously but did not mention truck specs, speed 60 - 63 mph
