Glad you aren't the only one having issues. Using their calculator we will recieve the full value and the 300$ extra each for our two children. According to the scehdule it states May 9th as the latest direct deposit for my SSN.

When I use the "where's my stimulus payment" I get the same message as the prior poster stating that the info. is not yet available.

Let's I have no idea how many days in advance they actually put that info on the site. Who knows!

We are going to have to nix the new awning. Just got an estimate to fix our Yukon -- $1500! Thank heavens for the rebate check!

Like several of the other posters, I don't qualify for this rebate either. I won't be seeing a dime of it. The funny thing is that my neighbors, who don't work, do qualify.

I'm still confused as to where this money is coming from, though. Is it an advance on your taxes or is it a gift from the government, and will not have to be paid back. If it's a gift from the government, how are they funding it?

Most people don't realize it but it's an advance on next years refund. If you are one of the people that just cut it even or usually owe a little, you should increase your withholding or you'll get a suprise when you owe it back next year!

I just dont know why people dont just go to the IRS site for the correct information. This is what they have to say about it:
"What is it? It's an economic stimulus payment that more than 130 million households will receive starting in May. It's not taxable, and it won't reduce your 2007 or 2008 refund or increase the amount you owe when you file your 2008 return." I think some one needs to find the facts before posting their "beliefs" or "what they have heard".

Minex is the first with the real issue. Consider this a gift from the Chinese government and others that are fronting our debt. I guess when you are 10 Trillion in the hole, what is another 140 Billion. We all know this was a stupid move, but it sure is good to get the check.
