Well here is my story im am a competition bbq cook and at my last contest in Sikeston Mo the wind was so bad it broke both my EZups so my told me that if i wanted her to continue to help me we were going to get a campernow i am a scout leader and love to tent camp so i have never really wanted to get one but we did and I am very happy we did. We purchased a 1998 Jayco Hawk Lite 24bh it had one owner and she was 85 years old she took great care of it and had all the maintenance done to it, we took it out last weekend for 1 night and everything worked great and we had no problems we only paid 6500.00 for the camper so we couldnt be more happier with that, I pull the trailer with a 2003 Jeep Liberty Limited edition with a 5000 pound hitch with weight distubution added and a brake controller, it does an outstanding job. We are really looking forward to a lot of camping

So Jason, how does that Liberty handle that trailer. Seems like you could be pushing it a bit.

I'm not a competition BBQ eater, I am just an amateur.

Congratulations on your new to you TT. While tent camping can be a lot of fun a TT is much more enjoyable when the weather is bad.

The Jeep does just fine towing, it has a rated towing capacity pf 3500 pounds on the hitch and 5000 with weight dist. which ai have installed the camper itself is a light weight it only weighs 3600 dry weight and 4700 fully loaded which i do not plan to do so there are no problems, I can say it was really windy my last tow and i thnk i will probably get sway bars to help cause there was a little movement not much but some, as for power I pulled it on the interstate at 65 and was only turning 2500 rpm so the jeeo has plenty of power.

I'd recommend to immediately get some kind of sway control.
