Today we are leaving on our maiden voyage in our new Sprinter 311BHS.

Right now (while we are supposed to be loading all our "stuff") it is pouring rain. Not rain, I'm talking torential downpour, cats n' dogs, you name it. I'm so excited about our first trip my hands are shaking, and we can't do a thing except sit here listening to the thunder and lightening watching the street flood around our camper (okay, slightly exaggerating here).

The radar looks like it will rain for the next 2 hours.

Arrgggh.

Spend the two hours looking over the items you have to load, see if you forgot anything...make a positive out of a negative...besides it is Friday and you are going camping !!!

Have fun, drive safe !!

Wow... that's no fun and it's not fair.
At least your new rig will get a very good leak test.
Hopefully you will be able to get down the road soon.

We do what we call pre pack. We lay everything that we are taking out in the barn before we load Rover. Then we look at it and make the final descision about what goes and stays home. Sounds like a good use of time waiting for the rain to stop. Ya, ok, you might not have a barn but the garage will do.

No. Illinois rally with some of the other posters on here - Lake LeAuqa Na near Rockford.

I've laid everything out, ready to load. We need to drain the antifreeze and flush the FW system. Wanted to plug in, but a little weary of standing in the rain and lightening to plug in the trailer to get the fridge going and batteries charging. ugh.
