What is the best grease or grease-less lube to put on the scissor jacks under the TT. I need to clean them up and grease them but dont know what to use to keep them working. thanks.

I would just clean them up with a little brake cleaner then use either a dry graphite or silicone spray. I would stay away from grease as it will attract dirt.

I loke to use spray motocycle chain lube. It works on the atv's and dirtbikes.

An excellent answer! This stuff is designed to not evaporate like WD40, so it will last a long time and is also formulated to avoid attracting dirt.

I use gun oil, specifically Rem-oil. It is thin and does not leave a greasy residue. It has my jacks operating smooth as silk.

Second that for Rem-Oil. It contains a teflon lubricant and provides corrosion protection. Cleans and does not attract grit. Not cheap but good stuff.

I hit them with some WD-40.

I use WD40. Works fine for me. Don't care if it shouldn't, it does.

Of course WD 40 works.. It has a form of lubricant as a part of it's chemical composition. It just won't last as long as some of the other suggestions. You just have to apply it more often to achieve the same results.

Any lubrication is better than none. (but grease does attract a lot of dirt)
