Excels are nice.... Have been in several at RV shows and I really like the workmanship. But they are heavy trailers and pricey on the Limited Edition.Any one looking to buy one don't think they will be disapponited with the quality.

Peterson Industries has almost no quality control. They have very poor industrial design, including but not limited to, weak frames, inadequate suspension capacities and slide-out actuating mechanisms. They have ethically challenged dealers(with NO factory oversight)and their units use a lot of "fluff" to impress unknowledgeable buyers. Don't, at this particular stage of the RV game, know what to recommend but it's definitely not Excel! Please do not, as we did, depend on unqualified or self-serving "EXPERTS" for the information you need before making such a major purchase. We have had ours over three years and are still fixing original problems(between bouts of illness). Oh, did I mention the warranty SUCKS?
Good Luck - If you buy an Excel you will need it!

Maybe you got a lemon. Most people I know that own Excels are happy.
We've lived in our Excel - the bottom line model, at that - for two years now and are VERY pleased with it. We've had few problems. Those we have had were dealt with to our complete satisfaction. The warranty sucks? How do you get better than going over the list of repairs to be done, fixing all the list items, then going over it again with us to be sure it is done to our satisfaction? No complaints here. Jack, Darren, Donna, Jim - all the service center folks were top notch.
