I just found out I can get a Weber Q 200 and stand as a 25 year anniversary gift at work. Who uses this grill and how do you like it?

I've got the Baby Q and I love it. I'm sure you'd be real happy with the 200.

Don't have one...yet! That is the one we're eyeballing and hope to get soon. We need a new home grill and are thinking of using it at home on a stand hooked to a 20lb tank. Then, grab it and go when camping and hook to the 5'ers tank at campsite. A friend has one and we camped with them last fall. I really liked it.

Just got the 200 last year, so only used it a few times, but really liked it. It is a good sized cooking area, and the cast iron grate really cooks the food well. The stand is really handy, as well. Conratulations on the anniversary!

We've had our 220 for a couple of years, now. It's a pretty good grill - we use it at home, camping and football games. Like most gas grills, it works best for hot stuff - burgers, steaks and such. Ribs work best with a rack and you have to watch the temperature like a hawk.
Good luck!

We use the Weber Q220. It has a slightly higher lid than the 200 and a temp gauge. Otherwise identical. We liked it so much, I've been bringing it home between camping trips to use for back yard barbeques. The cooking results rival the full sized barbeques with a mere 12,000 BTU output. There are no flair-ups thanks to the design. It's one of the best portable barbeques on the market but it does have some weight to it because of the heavy porcelain-enameled cast iron grate. We bought the folding stand as well. The only problem we've had at times is that some of the holes in the burner can get clogged due to their small size and need to be cleared with a pin tip. I think spraying the grate with products like Pam to prevent sticking may have caused the problem with some of the spray clogging the holes. I've changed to wiping the grates with an oiled pad if needed.

Grab that deal! Without any hesitation, I would completely recommend the Weber Q 200, without a doubt, compared to the huge stainless natural gas powered back yard BBQ's, tiny little charcoal Hibachi's, kettle type, cheap Chinese junk that lasts 6 months, and so on...the Weber is the best of the best! Powerful burners, heats up quick, well made in the USA (that's rare!) great grill marks, quick cooking, sears in the juices, versatile, so easy to clean you won't believe it, and built like a tank! Makes every other grill I've owned in 30 years of RVing seem primitive!
