if you car is tow'able. Looks like we might need to take our car with us next month, we have a 2002 Hyundai and a 2002 Honda Civic and if I'm going to invest in a tow bar, I need to find out if I can first.
Thanks in advance

Google "DINGY TOW GUIDE". Read your owner's manual, it should tell you if it can be towed 4 down.

The 2002 Hyundia can be towed if it has a Manual Transmission.
(Acccent, Elantra Sonota, Tiburan, Sante Fe 2 WD)
Honda has removed there towing approval for all models except the CRV. Look in the owners manual of your Civic, in the index, look for "Towing behind a Motor Home" and see if it is there. If there is a section describing that it can be towed, it will tell you the Shifting procedure for doing it. If it is not there, the answer is probably NO

The 2002 Hyundai can be towed with auto transmission if a lube pump is installed. Contact Remco Towing for more info. they make a kit for them.

With my first Motorhome I towed a Elantra. Good car but I would drag the rear into some gas stations. I still have the receiver you can have for free if you make arrangements to get it.

You go to www.remcotowing.com (Not clickable by choice) and look at the vehicle application chart

That chart tells if you can tow it or, if you can tow it after modification, and what modifications you need. Or if it's simply not possible.
