It isn't called "the 5" nor "the 101" in Oregon. Call them 101 or I-5 and the natives will be less hostile. Oh, don't call it or-e-GON.

126 is good, interesting, scenic. I haven't been on the others.

Now that you bring it up, the OP ought to know...

Oregon, Or-e-gun
central coast, "central Oregon" is east of the cascades

All, thanks for the advice.
Orbiker, we are going down the coast. We were thinking of crossing before Coos Bay but have heard it is something to see although we will not have a lot of time to play tourist there.
Fred, we did the redwoods around Klamath, Ca on the way up the 101. Beautiful area up there. Did the 199 to the 5 and on up to Sequim to visit my dad.

Thanks again for the input.

All are fine so pick the one you that gets you where you want. If time is critical pick the one closest to your destination, otherwise pick one further away and enjoy the drive up or down the coast. All three roads have semi's and logging trucks running on them so they can easily handle about any RV.

If you did 199 you already did the one that is truly windy. None of the others start to compare!
