Ok....you all have been so helpful. Thank you. I think we have finally come to a decision on which TT to buy (after weeks of researching and looking at TT's)....

Its looking like the 07 jayco 27bh is the one we will be going with but was hoping to get some opinions on it. Thanks so much.

First off I have been mildly confused for years why the Jayco 27BH has EXACTLY the same floor plan as my Forest River Salem 27BH. Anyone? Beyond that I love the floorplan and have not seen any floorplan I like better since I bought it. My television with a built in VCR does not fit in the cabinet. I replace my mattress with a STD size (6" longer) and it is cozy at the foot of the bed. The calk on my roof was very thick around protrusions and developed large cracks after a couple of years. Other than that ,regular maintenance. We got about $3000 off the sticker price at our local RV show

Our first TT was an '05 Jayco 27BH. We loved it and I still miss it at times (usually when backing current TT ) as it has more outside storage than current Jayco.

You won't go wrong with the 27BH especially if it is the Jayco 27BH !

Good luck !

So glad to hear great reviews....We don't officially own it yet but we are in the process....when we first looked at it we did notice that the floor vinyl was very very loose so they are fixing that. The RV salesman did say that does happen alot, is this true?

The TV cabinet is very small and we hope to get a tv mounted on the wall (is that possible)? I was wondering if we could just take out that cabinet and replace with a tv wall mount but am afraid to damage anything. Has anyone ever done that?

This is our first TT (we had pup before) and I'm leary of the size (I preferred the jayco 19bh) but the hubby wanted bigger since he thinks we will outgrow the 19 soon (boys are 6 and 2). I think we got a good deal. We are going to pay 10.5 with our trade and its an 07 that has never been used so any opinions on the price would be great!
(our trade is an 05 palimino yearling pup)

Once again this board is so awesome with information and great people who are willing to help some of us newbies...thanks again.

We have an '05 27 Baja. It is the same floor plan, but has nobby tires, higher clearance, more diamond plating, generator compartment and different graphics. Looks more like a toy hauler. Overall we have been very happy with the quality of the Jayco and would buy another one again (3rd One). We wished we would have gotten a slide, it gets a little cramped in there sometimes, especially morning when getting breakfast ready and the kids are running around. Mine are also 6 and 2. I know everyone says we spend most of the time outside which is true, but you will spend time inside since your two year old still takes naps like mine.

As far as the TV my brother got us a nice flat screen TV that works great in there. No problem having movie night in the trailer. The kids typically sit on the couch why my husband and I lay down to watch the movie.

We have a 2007 Jayco 27BH. We love it. I will agree with your hubby - you will quickly outgrow the smaller trailer.

Our kids are 11 and 14 and we fit just fine. Last trip our 14 year old took a friend - and it was still nice - never really felt cramped. In my opinion, the 27BH model floorplan is one of the best and roomiest without a slide. I think the couch going the opposite way opens up the floorplan and makes it more useful. In inclement weather we've not had a problem with the no-slide as the set up inside allows a lot of sitting areas and ability for everyone to do their own thing without infringing upon another. We bought a flat screen LCD tv and it fits perfectly in the tv cubby provided. We like that area because the flat screen slides back into it toward the wall and with a tension bar in place and the rubberized shelf liner it doesn't budge during travel and many times we never even use it so the front of the cabinet is used during trips to hold the napkin container or paper plates or magazines - stuff we're using on a regular basis for that trip - and it keeps them handy. The double bed on the bottom is where our older one sleeps. By the time she's no longer camping with us, the younger one will move down to the bottom bunk. It's nice as when my daughter's friend came along she slept on the sofa part and it was so easy to pop up and down (unlike the dinette) for the extra sleeping. In fact, both kids can bring a friend and we still don't have to take down the dinette for sleeping! It's a very versatile easy floorplan and Jayco makes a great trailer. We've had no major issues - and the two minor ones were so minor it's not even worth mentioning - but I will - we had to replace the fuse box cover as the tabs broke (just had dealer order it and we picked it up and popped it on ourselves) and...let's see. We also had a table meant for another floorplan so the day/night shade at the dinette would close past it - they just sent us a new table. That's it. That's all we've had on the TT. NOTHING else has broken or gone wrong or needed to be fixed in the time that we've owned it and dragged it thousands of miles on trips.

Send me a private message if you have an specific questions regarding the 27BH. Also, to see the tv in it's cubby click on my mods link below.

It's a great trailer, a great floorplan and will grow with your kids very easily.

OHHHH
I love, love the pictures of your mods...I can't wait to start doing stuff like that with our TT. I was wondering about your flast screen tv, does it have a bar attachment so you can pull it out and turn it side to side or does it mount on a wall, free standing? Does it sit too high if your watching from the couch or tv? Sorry for so many questions, but am curious. Thanks soo much for your pictures and review on this particular tt.

It's just a regular freestanding tabletop type of LCD tv. Hubby found it really cheap at a closeout sale. We just pull it forward and turn it towards the couch. It doesn't swivel but it does adjust to tilt forward or back. We've been on the queen bed, sofa and dinette to watch a movie and no one's complained they couldn't see the tv well. I've also watched from laying down on the bed and also the dinette area and both were fine. We typically don't watch tv while camping and until recently I had the ban on a tv in the trailer (as did the 14 year old) till hubby brought it home (missed one too many UCLA football games while camping apparently). Honestly we've only used the tv twice for a movie since we've had it - about a year or so. We're usually out and about or playing games instead.

I'll answer any questions you have. We love the floorplan and one reason we bought it was that the storage was amazing (under the double bed bunk area and under the queen bed) and the fact that it was big enough for the 4 of us and small enough for the 2 of us when the kids are done. Figure the bunkhouse will become a closet when they stop camping by removing the mattresses and using curtain rods or tension rods.

We were going to buy one trailer, one time. I've yet to see another trailer that I like better and each time we go out we look at each other and say "yes, the perfect trailer for us" and have no desire whatsoever to get anything else.

we have an 08 jayco 27bh G2.
we are newbies and my wife and I really do like this floorplan. We have a a 6 yr old and a 2 month old. we decided this on because of furture planning (growing into it). also because we elt it was more "bang for the buck". we are planning oiut first trip later this month. we have "camped" in our back yard and it will do nicely.

we have a 19 in tv on the wall above the dinette facing the sofa and master bed. we all were able to watch a movie in it. ours came with the LCD but i am sure you can mount one there as well.

we also did much research (about 2 yrs) and we sall this one from the get go and after comparing all the others it was still the top choice. we like the full bottom bunk since we will sometimes be taking guests and two adults can share that bunk.

for no slide i have to say it was/is my favorite floorplan that we saw.
