Go with the Dual Cam! it keeps my 32ft. TT right behind my Excursion. I also had it on our Previous 28ft. TT towed by a Dodge conv. van. best hitch out there!

The Reese strait-line dual cam hitch is the only hitch we offer...whether you're buying a 2700 lb. 21' Travel Trailer or a 8500 lb. 32 footer. Our customers who have had both prefer the dual cam.

What do you do with those who purchase a trailer that has a light tongue weight? The Dual Cam needs to have a minimum of 400lbs of tongue weight to be effective.

I agree with the others that the Dual Cam is a very good sway control device. I used both the friction sway control and the Dual Cam for quite a few years.

We love our Equal-i-zer. MUCH BETTER than friction bar we had to start. IMO Reese Dual Cam is better than friction bar.

dual cam is better than friction (single)
dual cam is pretty much the same as having two frictions.
equalizer is better than dual cam.

We have the dual cam. Haven't used the friction style. Only complaint I have on the dual cam is the amount of noise it makes. I understand this is normal, but I don't like it.
Having not used the friction, I don't know if it makes noise or not...

try a lite coating of petrolium jelly on the saddle where the ends of the WD bars rest. also are your bars round or suqare?

IMHO
1. Hensley hitch $1500-3000
2. Reese HP Dual Cam $300-700
3. Equal-i-zer $300-675
4. Reese Pro Series SC $300-390
5. Friction $65-120
I really believe when it comes to sway control, you get what you pay for.
I have used 5, 2, and 1. I am still using #1.
