I am looking for tires for my 5th wheel trailer. manufactor recommendations call for a size 235/85 r16 load range E. I am looking at a uniroyal 235/85r16 uni lar awp 118q which is a truck tire or a goodyear Wrangler RTS 235/85 R16 load range E. This is also a truck tire. Both dealers say these tires are good for RV use and will hold up well. Has any body used these tires with good results, or would some one reccommend a different tire. We average 10-12 thousand miles a year with our camper. thanks ED

I am not lucky enough to be able to use 16 inch...must stay at 15. However, pretty hard to beat the proverbial Michelin XPS if your buying 16 inch tires. Pricey! Over $200 each!

I have the BFG's and am happy with them ...

Just got the B F Goodrich Commercial T A for my cardinal. I used the LT245/75/R16E,which was closer to my tire size of 235/80/R16.

My Trailer came equipped with Uniroyal Laredo tires. Knock on wood, so far so good.

With your mileage of over 10k miles per year you could not go wrong with the Michelin XPS Ribs. look at their specs and compare them to other identical sized and rated tires and you will fnd that the XPS Ribs weigh about 8lbs heavier than any other tire of the same size and rating. they really are the strongest. Just put a set on my 5ver about a month ago.
$230 each Canadian installed and balanced.

I ordered my 1999 and 2001 Fleetwood Terry 5th wheels with the Goodyear RTS tires, and never had a moments trouble with them.

08 fleetwood Quantum 325RKTS (I put Bridgestones on this one), got a good deal on them, otherwise it would have the Goodyears.

as others I would recommend the B F Goodrich Laredo Commercial LT E over the Laredo AWP. I have them on my 5er and a implement trailer. The 5ers are going on 6 years.
