We, too, use Passport America, but there's not always a PA park available where we want to stop.

"...the coldest months."? So the water is on during July only? (Sorry, couldn't resist). Camp on!
South of the Border in Dillon, SC is only $22.00 a night for full hookups. We have a 36' fiver and do not have to unhook on drive thru sites. It was $18 but went up in April. Gated also.
