...what about all the Toyota trucks built by American workers ?

The quoted statement is completely misleading.

Even funnier is that isn't the Tracker a rebadged Suzuki?

Nope. That is an urban myth. The Sammy is far and away more sought after than the Tracker. There are numerous build differences that make this so, including the Sammy's solid front axle...

You did get one item right: Tracker was built in Ontario, Canada

Go to the Ford or GM websites and look at all the different companies that they either own or they are a major partner. I like to remind some of my snobbish workmates (Land Rover and Jaguar devotees) that they are really driving Fords.

I didn't say it was a Samurai as it obeviously isn't per you mention of the solid front axle. Just that it was made by Suzuki. IIRC the Sammy was dead here in the US before the Geo then Chevy Tracker went to market.

The Samurai is a completely different vehicle from the Geo Tracker.

I believe the Geo Tracker is a re-badged Suzuki Sidekick.

Someone on here said the Jaguar/LandRover group recently got bought by some eastern Indian company. HaHa!

In any event, the Jaguar, while owned by Ford, was, for all practical purposes, a Taurus and an overpriced one at that.

Thats funny, because my Chevy Tracker says its made in Canada.

My '92 F350 was made in Canada.

Ummm no. Unless Jaguar made a front wheel drive V6 4 door sedan I am not aware of. Closer to a Lincoln LS or the late reborn T Bird. I thought the Jags while Ford owned them looked real nice. I wouldn't own one as the reliability was not so hot, but they had good lines. Same with Astin Martin.

BTW the Sidekick is what I was thinking of. Kept thinking Amigo, but that was an Izuzu. My Dad has an old Tracker as a beater/daily driver. No issues with it and he hammers on it.
