you should try fluid film www.eurekafluidfilm.com available also at john deere dealers. go to thier site and read about it. it does exactly as they advertise. thats what i lube my jacks and slide system with

Any dirt bike rider always has a can of chain lube. Molly-"sumthin"-di-sulfide. I can say it, I just can't spell it. Dries out and doesn't attract dirt.
Fun is that stuff that happens in between mistakes.

I use silicone spray on mine....works fine and doesn't attract dirt like grease will.

LOL, molybdenum disulfide
be care full tho, your high end chain lube will likley contain extreme pressure agents. Lube's containing extreme pressure agents must never be used were brass bushings or bearings etc are used as the agents will react with the brass.

I just use WD-40 and when they get hard to use wash them out with water and put more WD-40 on them. It not that they get real hard to lower or raise but they queak a lot and Im sure the wakes up the poor lazy people in a camp ground when I leave at 6AM. Only have to do that about once a year and we camp in the desert in the winter time and it get perty dusty at times.
