What's the best lubricant to use on my rear scissor jacks? They're locked up pretty good after winter storage. I'm thinking just a lithium grease? I've obviously heard that you don't want to use something that attracts dust.

Try some of the lubricant made for locks. Lock-Eaze is one brand...there are several. These supply graphite to the moving parts but the liquid evaporates. Grease or oil doesn't "attract" dust but does hold it when the dust blows into the moving parts.

All men over age 50 should get an annual PSA blood test. Mine had a low reading, but the yearly jump was significant. The biopsy showed cancer just entering the aggressive stage. Dr. Hackenslash removed it.

Purchase yourself some dry lube so it doesn't attract dust, dirt, grime, etc.

Hi All.
We second the motion of useing only a Dry Spray Lube. It will keep the rust away, it won't attract dirt or dust. Use it also on your landing legs as well. It also works very well, on your Black & Gray Valves. It keeps them moving very easily. Only use grease on your King Pin itself, and your Locking arms. Also use a Teflon Disk, and use the Dry-Lube spray on both side of the Teflon Plate, and on top of your hitch plate too. No dirt or dust is alawys nice. Good Luck. Happy Camping, Dan & Jill

Go get some of this stuff;
Dupont Teflon Multi Lube
Ace hardware also carries it. You spray it on, it dries to a dry waxy finish, lubes great, and no dirt sticks to it. It's also great for lubing 5th wheel hitches, bike chains, anything else like that.

I've given up on lubing stabiizers until they 'really' need it because ever time I've done so, they stop holding. What I mean is I crank 'em down and cinch 'em snug and as soon as I take the handle off you can watch the bolt loosen 1/2 to a full turn.
Maybe its just me.

I used A.S.T. Penetrant II when my B&W Hitch locked up. It worked pretty good.

Clean threads with a wire brush and lube once or twice a year with Slip Plate. It's a dry lube that will not atract dirt.
