I completed the install of the Banks exhaust system on my 1997 Bounder on the F53 chassis (460 Ford). My old exhaust manifolds are in good shape (surprisingly no cracks, warpage, etc.). Are they worth anything? Or should I just bring them to the local recycler?

I scrapped mine. "97 bounder/F53/360". Seems a shame but I couldn't imagine a market for them. lou

BTW - how's the performance with the Banks?

Just for the heck of it I would put it on craigslist...The adds are free and may be you could help out a fellow RVer on a tight buget...If no one bites you could still scrap them...P.S. I see them on ebay from time to time but their adds cost to post.

My first trip out will be over Memorial Day weekend. Heading up to Golden Gate State Park which is west of Golden, Colorado about 20 miles or so up in the Rockies. On the route I take, right after Central City, there is a hill that I typically run up going about 23-25 mph with the engine screaming at 3800 rpm, in low gear. If I can climb that hill in 2nd gear at about 43-45 mph, I will be a happy camper. We'll see. It sure sounds like a Hot Rod now
I will report back after the trip and let everyone know how much improvement I see. I am not expecting any increase in mpg, but if I get any, it will just be a bonus. Thanks.

Better yet. If anyone needs them for their motorhome, they are yours for free (you will have to pay shipping, of course). Thanks.

If you find an outlet for the manifolds, let me know. I have two sets of them that need to find a new home.

That goes for me too. I have a stock set of stainless steel manifolds for a GMC 454. They are built with an accordion type expansion joint in them. They came off of a 1989 GMC 454 when I installed a set of Banks. I priced them at GMC one time and new they wanted the moon for them.
