We have a new 2008 Seneca 35 HD. There is a Westinghouse Tv in the bedroom, when you lie in bed the picture is terrible, Does anyone else have this problem?

Yes, the TV (LCD) needs to be angled down. I had an HD TV installed new and it swivels but even then if I lay low on the pillow I know what you mean. Somehow you need to get the screen tilted down. Also adjust your tilt with the slide out as things really change with that extra 2 feet of distance

The problem is corrected by replacing the TV mount on the door. I bought an adjustable mount from Best Buy($20) which can swivel up as well as down. Reused one hole and drilled another to complete the installation. Once the TV is swiveled down you will see a remarkable difference in brightness and clarity. The ability to swivel left and right and up and down makes it comfortable for DW and self.

This is just another example of that makes me certain that the manufacturers never use their own products or they'd realize what they are doing in cases like this.

Our bedroom TV is a tube type (don't ask me why - nuts from a weight and space point of view and I'll have to replace it one day - but we don't get the angle distortion problem) and I'll have to get a good swivel unit for a replacement flat panel.

We have a bed over the cab. Did they supply a ladder? No. Did they ever try to get in the bed without a ladder? No. Did they ever try to put the slide locks in without a ladder? No.

Hopefully they will smarten up in the future, but I'm not betting on it.

Our previous MHs had many of these types of things that made you wonder if they ever used them or listened to customers' feedback.

Before you buy an LCD or Plasma TV you need to do a view test at the store for viewing angles. Lots of them look black if you get more than a few degrees off center. I bought 2 LCDs for the bedroom before I found one that had a good view angle.

Yep, here too. I found myself nearly laying on the floor in the stores to see how the viewing angle was from that direction.

Given the available space in our specific RV, it's ultra thin profile, it's affordable price, and it's front positioned controls, we ended up buying THIS ONE. Free Shipping too.
