OP had a problem with a last minute spill. You wait till the last minute, you take your chances, just like I do if I try to wash when it's busy - unless you're trying to have a problem...but you wouldn't do that, would ya?

Yes and if your not there when your dryer finishes you as you say tak your chances. If the dryer is done take the clothes out put them on the table and put yours in.
Having done laudry while on the road for work I've had that happen to me more then once. Put the clothes in the dryer get on a con call for the job and not get back in time. Get there and find my clothes sitting on the table.
No worries just fold them up and take them back to the room.
There is no call for drama in that situation. The clothes are washed and dried and ready to go. All that matters is having the clean shirt and underwear for the next day.
You want to have it only one way. The OP is wrong for waiting to the last minute. What you want is what you should get. Guess what that isn't how things work.
You want to touch my things when I leave them in a public place unattended. OK not a lot I can do about that. You want to extend that by saying come to my house and or my trailer and go inside and touch my things. No that I can do something about.
Your trying to compare expectations about something one controls (Home / Camper) and something one doesn't own a public laundry. You have no expectations of privacy / control in a public laundry. As the signage in most of them will show.

As 'unreasonable' as you may think I am, my methods appear to be working just fine. I don't touch what is not mine, regardless of where it is located, and expect you to do the same. Based on OP's unpleasant experience, I think that if I did have a problem with somebody trailing off and leaving their stuff, I'd call the office or the attendant. It's their job to manage their facility - not mine.

Serena...If you feel that strongly about someone touching your clothes, then YOU need to STAY in the laundramat WITH your clothes!!
Public and campground laundramats ALL warn against leaving your clothes unattended; and usually clearly state articles will be removed if left unattended...It's YOUR responsbility to be there to remove then promptly...not the person who is waiting to use the equipment. If someone removes them because you're not there, and especially neatly folds them, you should be thankful...not irate!!

As stated, it has never happened. They are not ALL posted one way or another, so why exaggerate like that?

The only person here who is exaggerating is you...maybe you need to get a washer/dryer and stay out of laundramats!

"I don't touch what is not mine, regardless of where it is located, and expect you to do the same."
You have the right to touch or not touch whatever you choose.
I have the same option.
What you expect and what you get are two different things.

This is my suggestion for Serena, or anyone who doesn't want their clothes touched -
Post a sign on the washer or dryer, something like
"Because of a disability, I cannot wait here for the laundry to be done. Please leave my things alone. I will be back at blah-blah time. Thank you."
That way, no one has to be a mind-reader. I'm sure most people would be respectful of that.

Yep agree. The OP has not posted on this thread since 5/7.
