Alfa was going to open a new plant here in Oregon. Tonights paper
says that will not happen as the company has closed the doors .

Do you have a link to that news story?

What newspaper?

Thanks,

Fred.

A search brought up this story too:

http://www.rv.net/FORUM/index.cfm/fuseaction/thread/tid/21352806.cfm Alfa closed it's doors and laid off all employees 4-30-2008.

While I liked the Alfa fifth wheels, the difficulty to get to the basement air conditioner told me I would never buy one until that was improved!

Fred.

I checked out Alfa before purchasing my last fifth wheel and I didn't care for the looks of them. The Class A's looked pretty good but the fifth wheel I looked at was just ugly and poorly built.

If you own one I would say that it present value just dropped by almost half with the closing of the plant

This is just the start, others will be following! We have ruff roads ahead. Pretty soon RV Parks will not long ask how old your trailer is, and say bring anything, just come and stay. Chris
