I put a brand new 12v deep cycle series 24 battery in the trailer last night, Monday. Now tonight it's totally dead! The only thing I can think of is the CO2 detector, but not in 24 hours! Any other suggestions on where to look?

It sounds like a dead short or something with a big draw is still on. Did the last cable "spark" when you attatched it to the battery? If so it is a indication of a short or a draw. You need to unhook the battery and Charge it fully. Then connect the neg, Ground, cable and then you need to get an Amp meter and temperarly put it between the Positive cable and the positive terminal of the battery and if there is a draw, the amp meter will show how
many amps is being drawn. The CO2 detector should not draw hardly any amps. If the amp meter shows a high draw, you need to pull 12v fuses one at a time while watching the amp meter until you find the circuit that is drawing your battery down. Good luck

I'll bet the brakes are doing it. Or the breakaway plug. That will kill a battery overnight faster than you can say Jack Robinson.

When that happened to me, it was the breakaway plug. It wasn't actually out of the socket but pulled out far enough that it no longer made contact. Otherwise, you have a short somewhere. But a short should blow a fuse.
