I installed the Koni FSDs. I run 100 in the front tires and 95 in the back duals. I have never weighed my RV. I seem to get outside rib wear if I run any less air in the fronts. The rib wear seems to be even on the inside and outside of the tires. I know I am in the minority about the shocks.

Really should weigh all 4 corners. How about a front end alignment?

Thanks for the reply Mike. I did get an alignment when it was new and I had it loaded but not since. I do not get abnormal tire wear. I just get outside edge wear like low inflation. That is why I kept the front tires inflated to 100psi.

Something doesn't add up here. Your unit should have had Michelin 235/80-R22.5G tires and an 8000 lb front axle. For 8000 lbs, you should only need 85 psi (maybe 90 if you want a little margin).
Either your alignment is screwed up or you're overloading your front axle (and maybe rear, also). Weigh the 4 corners. If 8000 lbs or less on the front axle, drop the air pressure and get an alignment done. If over 8000 lbs, well............. !!

Yes, I got the KONI FSD's. I just contacted LTB Motorsports where I purchased them (by phone). They stated that the rear shocks for the F-53 V-10 chassis comes with a bare rod. (part #FORD F53 TRITON V10 99+ REAR FSD 8805-1019). Seems odd to me. But I see few products with such a good recommendation.
Based on this thread that I just read yesterday, I bit the bullet and ordered a set of Koni FSD's today. I did a Google search for the best price on the web, and it directed me back to another RV.net thread, where someone suggested a site called Shox.com. I sent Shox.com an email request for a quote, and was quoted a price of $569 for all four shocks, which was about $100 less than buying them directly from Koni.
The quote said to call their toll free number to order, which I did today. The gentleman that I spoke to, said the price that I was quoted was $100 less than their list price, but he gave me that price since I was emailed a quote number. Sometimes it pays to shop around.

CJ7 and Craig P you are both right. My koni's are bare rod on the rears and shox are the cheapest to buy from, which I did. OOOOHHHH WHAT A DIFFERENCE in the ride. They are worth the money IMHO. Enjoy the ride. We Are!

Ok...I replaced my factory Sach's shocks with Koni FSD's today. I hate to be the fly in the ointment, but I just don't feel any difference driving around town. I hit the same bumps and railroad tracks coming home as I did going to the shop, and I can't say they improved my ride at all.
I sure hope I feel a difference on the freeway during our next trip. If not, you can bet I'll hear it from the DW when she see's our next credit card statement!

Have you weighed the 4 corners and matched the tire pressure to the weights? Ten more psi than needed will affect the ride.
