I usually find low pressure in most places. I check the flow from the faucet hook up before I decide whether or not to install the regulator.

Did you remover the stupid government mandated flow reducer in the shower head yet? Unscrew head from hose, remove idiot device (usually looks like a cheap washer with tiny hole), reassemble.

Note we stayed at a CG where water pressure went over 100 psi one nite. Folks who thought pressure regulators were a waste of time had fun replacing plumbing. Note CG was NOT responsible as there actually was a warning sign in office.

In my experience low water pressure is due to one of two things.

1. filter with too high of resistance to flow
2. regulator with the same problem, hole too small

I threw my filter out and just keep the housing on w/o a filter.

As Do N Dat stated, most in line regulators severly restrict flow. Check this site for several adjustable Watts regulators. I use one and have never had an issue with pressure or flow.

1. filter with too high of resistance to flow or dirty filter
2. regulator with the same problem, hole too restrictive.

3. Or 3rd I’ve been to a site that have had a black plastic pipe for a water supply. The pressure was bad, but when you added 32 more RVs to the same pipe, it got a lot worse.
Reason I leave the pressure valve on. It is theoretically to restrict only up to the PSI on the valve not less than that. If there is a spike in the water pressure, it should restrict the excessive psi from affecting your RV. I also put it at the spicket side of the hose too. That way if my hose has a weak spot, it will not blow.

Several people had the best fix. If this is not a common situation, I would just use your water pump.

I would try disconnecting the hose that goes to your fiver & without the regulator filling a five gallon bucket. Use your watch to time how long it takes to fill the bucket. Then do the same with the regulator on the hose. If the times are the same, your problem is not pressure but volume & is due to a problem at the campground.

Be careful about running the water without a regulator at a park.. I had to tighten all of the fittings inside my friends Class C after he did this at a park with high pressure.

I've had two brand new pressure regulators not let any water through at all. Got a Watts, its worth the money.

I've had it happen a few times. I just removed the regulator.

I had low pressure on my unit first time out. I was told by a dealer that on some new units, there may be residual dirt or shavings in the fresh water tank. First time you "test" the fresh water tank it's usually with very little water in the tank ... and all this "residual" flows thru the system and will clog up the screens at the faucet, greatly reducing the flow. I pulled these screens from the Kitchen and Bathroom faucets and both were partially blocked. Made quite a difference after they were cleaned out and replaced.
The shower head is a little better after cleaning it out, but still not like it should be ... so a new one may be in my future !!
This may help your situation.
