Grandparent's Day/Crabs & Corn Weekend
Maryland Crabs and sweet Lancaster County corn dinner, reservations required. Variety of activities for grandparents and grandkids, including the live band Crusin' Down Memory Lane playing Saturday.
The campground is basically divided into two sections. In the lower section the sites are more open, only have 30-amp service, and no cable TV. Some of the sites don’t even have sewage, but, all of the activity buildings are located in the lower section. The sites in the upper section are more wooded and have 50-amp service and cable. The pool and hot tub are also located in the upper section. The hill between the sections is rather long and steep!
We were there last year, in the upper section, and enjoyed the crabs and the band.
We’ve talked to Lisa, the manager at Spring Gulch, and she will reserve sites 1521 through 1535 for us for a couple weeks for starters. We are already in 1524 and 1531 is also reserved. If interest is high at the start, Lisa will reserve more sites for us.
If you call to make reservations and want to be located with the group, call Spring Gulch directly at 1-866-864-8524 and give them confirmation number 48876 as a reference. Ask about the various discounts they have, Senior, Good Sam, etc. The cost for the upper section is $57 per night. When you check in on Friday, you can reserve crabs for $20 per person. Last year each person started with 5 crabs and two ears of corn, bring your own drinks. Last year they had extra crabs at the end.

If I remember correctly, the crabs were served about 2 in the afternoon on Saturday and you can also reserve the crabs when you check in on Friday.
Cancellation
If a cancellation is requested 48 hours prior to arrival, a full refund of the deposit is given.
If a cancellation is requested less than 48 hours prior to arrival, we will charge a $50 processing fee and refund the balance.
