Picture of an older 5er that was at the house next door to some new condos that I provided the cabinetry for. I would guess it would be safe to assume that it could be towed by a 1/2 ton.

Maybe. Doesn't look too big and sometimes those old campers are surprisingly light compared to todays campers. There just wasn't all that much inside them to add weight.

That would put it on a list of about 50 OTHERS that are also half ton towable. Just remember that being "half ton towable" does NOT mean that all half tons can tow it. The term itself if kind of like talking about a group of people small enough to all fit in a room

I love seeing these oldies. I'll bet the family that uses it, has just as much fun, as those with million dollar motor homes. Maybe more, fun.

I guess I should have put a smiley face after my comment about 1/2 ton towable. It was just a joke. I'm sure it probably really is as it appeared to be 20' or less in length. I just enjoyed seeing something so old still around. When I was small we had a 17' Phoenix travel trailer that we used to go camping with 6 people in (parents, brother, myself, and grandparents) and never thought twice about it being crowded. We even pulled it with a 66 Impala Super Sport 396 4-speed. I remember going to Myrtle Beach for the first time ever in this setup. No air conditioning in the car or camper. The vinyl seats got a little hot going through Columbia SC on the way. I also got a kick out of the fact that my dad later traded it for a 26' Franklin tt and then traded it for a 31' Executive motor home and all three campers slept 6. Anyway, this was just for a little humor and maybe bring back some memories for someone.
