I need to add air bags to my suspension on the truck and was wondering if there is a certain brand that I should be looking for or what do you all do to beef up your suspension?

Before we can answer we need to know more information:
Why do you think you need Air Bags?
What is the actual pin weight of your fiver?
What is the cargo carring capicity of your TV?
I put them on my truck when we had the Lance Camper. It wasn't so much for carring extra weight, it was more for stabilization and ride control.
I rarely put more than 10-20 lbs while pulling our fiver. Any more than that and the fromt of the trailer and the back of the truck are way too high. She sits pretty level w/o air.

I hear a lot of good things about Firestone's Ride Rite(sp?) bags.
I have ordered a set of Air Lift bags but have not received them yet. I plan on installing them myself but since that hasn't happened yet I cannot comment on the quality or ease of install. I did get a good price from a fella on e-bay.
If you plan on installing them yourself, I have heard that the Ride Rite bags are very easy to install.
Have a great day.

Well I was thinking more for leveling the truck out is why I was thinking I would need air bags. We have never owned a 5er so I'm not sure if I need to do anything to the truck or not. Others I have talked to said they added air bags to the truck and so I thought I better start researching now and found what I need.

I've used both the Air Lift and the Ride Rite bags on a couple trucks. I found the Ride Rites to be a better product. The Air Lift bags attach outside the frame and I found that it raised the rear of the truck far more then the Ride Rites. Example: pulling out from under the 5r with the Air Lift, if I didn't let the air out of the bag before pulling forward, the truck would pop up and the rails would touch the underside of the 5r where with the Ride Rites the truck only came up an inch or so... Just my experiences...

I installed the Firestone Ride Rites on my F250, they were the no drill installation and a piece of cake to install. Would I do it again, I would without even thinking about it, they improved the ride when towing so much I would not want to be without.

I opted for heavy duty leaf packs to replace the weak stock springs. When I had the rv camper, the stock springs were barely up to the task, but they did the job. Once I put the much heavier utility body on the truck loaded with equipment, the stock springs were no where near up to the task and something drastic had to be done right away. I had the heavy duty leaf packs installed and what a difference! The truck sits a good 6" higher now, a bit above level, and rides much more stable, steers and handles much safer too. I'm very happy with the leaf spring upgrade.
I have a gooseneck hitch that mounts where most air bags mount. I would not have been able to use air bags in that location. I prefer the springs anyways due to simplicity, ease of use and no worries about damage to the truck frame cause it is being supported by the spring hangers, where it was designed to be supported.
