I just bought a well made but home made 4X6 utility trailer to pull behind my Hond Accord sedan. The only issue is the leaf sprung beam axle is bent! Where can I get a 38" spring center 42" overall length axle? Have yet to find anything with thouse dimensions.

If it is not bent to bad take it to a weld shop and they can fix it.

How bad is it bent? If it has a slight upward arc to the axle, it's probably normal.

Shortlid writes "The only issue is the leaf sprung beam axle is bent!"

As weasel4 states there SHOULD be a slight arc (or bend if you will) that goes up in the center of the axle when trailer is unloaded. This is needed for proper camber of the tires when the axle is loaded (the arc in the axle will flatten out when loaded).

You also can find replacement axles at locally at Tractor Supply or online at Etrailerpart.com (keep in mind the shipping WILL eat up any savings of buying online and returning could be a hassle on LARGE items).

Nope it was backed into a rock or some thing bending it i the middle and toeing in the wheels. However Gdetrailer you give me a GREAT idea. It is a square beam axle with squared U bolts holding the axle to the springs. So I can u-bolt the axle turn it 45 degrees to where the bend is UP!! Then when I fully load the trailer it will flaten out the axle out for me!!

When I was a kid, I helped my dad straighten a utility trailer axle. We used a bottle jack and chain.
