Pardon me, but why are you using Calgon in the black tank? Been RV'ing for years, mainly on West Coast, and have never heard of using Calgon !

You won't like paying for it for simply having a 'clean' tank and sensors that may work.

I agree with others, I bought it at the Super Wally World, but it wasn't easy to spot. I found it in the area with fabric softeners. It's a white, plastic container with a blue label that has a rainbow on it. Happy hunting!

I haven't seen Calgon at our local Wal-Mart stores. But, K-Mart has it in powdered form. It's on the top shelf above laundry products.

It depends on where you are. If your in a part of the country where they have naturally soft water, nobody carries it! We just spent three months around West palm Beach and none of the Walmarts had it. Got up to Augusta, GA and all the Walmarts had it.... The liquid is easier to use. One bottle is good for two cleanings. You can also order it on line but I forgot the name of the website.

If you're only getting two cleanings out of your bottle of Calgon, I suspect that you're using too much. The Geo web page recommends two cups of powdered Calgon per tank, but I believe that the amount of liquid would be far less. I have gotten good results using one cup of liquid at a time.

The the recommended laundry use is 1/4 cup of liquid per load. It would be useful to know what the package of powdered recommends per load, so we could figure out the equivalent.

As noted, Calgon of either type is easy to find in areas with hard water and almost impossible to find in areas with soft water. In the Boston area, the only place I've seen it is a small urban neighborhood market that catered to many different ethnic groups.

Just purchased a box at the new Wally-World in Olds (where-the-hell-is OLDS???... about an hour north of Calgary, Alberta).

Calgon seems to be more readily available in Canada than the U.S. Maybe I should go into the exporting business to get it to folks down south.

EH!

Thanks for the link! I have been trying to find a local place to purchase this for some time with no success. I placed an order last night. I trust they are a good company to deal with.

Since we are very new to the whole TT business I am curious to know why you need Calgon for the black water tank. We just picked up our trailer last week and are planning to take it out for it's maiden voyage next weekend.
