This is interesting

Gasbuddy.com

Why am I paying $4.89 gal for diesel in Lake Tahoe? And Cheyenne, WY is paying $3.94. Do they have a new refinery that I didn't know about?

I buy my gas at BJ's Wholesale Club or at our local Stop & Shop Supermarket. I save the coupons for 10 cents off per gallon. I also gas up BEFORE I travel to Cape Cod to stay at our summer home. The best part is that my commuter vehicle is a Prius, so 10 gallons of gas last me quit a while. I have been averaging 51.4 MPG for the past 2 weeks. Payed $3.49 just this past Wednesday and today the price jumpd up 5 cents.

See you on the road!

The West Coast does not have enough refineries to supply the demand. They must import fuel to meet the needs. There are no pipelines to the West Coast from the Mountain states.

I'm free of prostate cancer for 5 years now.
All men over age 50 should get an annual PSA blood test. Mine had a low reading, but the yearly jump was significant. The biopsy showed cancer just entering the aggressive stage. Dr. Hackenslash removed it.

there's only a cent or two difference between stations around here, not worth it to hunt for them just to save 1 or 2 cents a gallon for the amount we use.

I monitor & report to gaspricewatch.com & am appalled at the difference in prices. Ferinstance...I'm right near the NM/CO border, and despite the fact the CO's taxes are higher, their gas is 20c a gal less. Tourist town, Taos, NM in one of the poorest counties in the nation, even off season the price is 30c higher than elsewhere. My 100mpg scooter in getting more use.

Here in Ohio gas prices jumped 30 cents per gallon from $3.49 to $3.79 day before yesterday. The price pattern, in SW Ohio for several years has been to spike then slip a few cents, this scenario repeats itself almost weekly.

I hear that - it's the same thing up here in NW Ohio. Say good bye to the good ol' USA......we're losing the war here.
