I got one too...seemed awfully early so I looked at my card to find the expiration date. Couldn't find one! Is the expiration date on the card somewhere that I can't see?

The longer you wait to renew the cheaper it gets.

I got my renewal early too, I like their emergency road service so I will renew as long as I keep the ERS.

It is not necessary to be a member of GS to use their ERS. We gave up GS a few years ago but continue to use their ERS.

You can opt out of the Good Sam snail mails and the emails.

To opt out of the emails, sign in to the GS website, and click on “My Account” on the right side of the screen. (BTW, the resulting “Member Account” screen will show your GS expiration date.) Click on “My Communication Preferences” and un-check the appropriate boxes. Then, click “Submit.”

To opt out of the snail mails, you can call Member Services at 800-234-3450, or you can do it online as follows. Sign in to the GS website, and click on the red “Member Services” (not “Member Benefits”) box on the left side of the screen. Next, click on “Click Here for Cease Solicitation form.” The form will be pre-filled with your information, so just use the dropdown box to select the type of unwanted mail you’re receiving and then click “Submit.” I didn’t like the choices in the dropdown box, so I called Member Services and asked to stop everything but the Highways magazine and the renewal notices. (You would think that would be one of the choices in the dropdown box, but I don’t think they want to make this too easy.)

If you opt out of snail mail on line using the "Cease Solicitation" form every thing will be stopped, even the Highways Magazine, and renewal notices. If you call you can have all the mailings stopped, except the Highways magazine, renewal notices, or any other mailing you may want to continue to receive.

Rodger, that's true only if you choose the "All" option in the dropdown box on the form. The problem is that there's not an option to stop everything except the magazine and the renewals.
