Lately I've recieved more then I have in a long time.
And NO. I haven't given anyone my email address or signed up for anything.
I just surf and read and my Yahoo filter shows 'Work at Home" and "Meet Christian Singles", plus a couple that promise endowment and I don't mean funds.
My cash is always cleaned,
I turn of FF cookies,
I use "No Script",AVG,"Cookie Safe" and "Ad Blocker".
And "Cookie Culler"
And I never NEVER open attachments.
I read somewhere that there is a "BOT" that is around and it is bigger than any previous ones.
Has anyone seen a rise in their spam?
I use Yahoo.
PS: I never ave any from Google Gmail.Accept for ads from places I've ordered from and that is OK. Why?

Nothing is worse for spam. Gmail a close 2nd.
I use both as my em addresses for ordering stuff and forums.
I never have any spam on "windows Live", but I only use it for my daily F&F contacts.

I use Choice Mail by Digiportal Software, it is a pretty good spam filter.

Yes I have noticed a recent increase. My Google account is diverting ~700 a day to my spam folder. One of our customer contact email addresses was recently used as the return address for a massive spam mailing. It got me looking at the logs on our server and I noticed quite an increase.

I also read of large amounts on the Escapee's forum mail server.
I could understand if I logged into a XXX sites, but I only look at the pictures. I was making a calendar for garage mechanics and you know what they like. No not bunny rabbits. For the longest time I never had any spam. I need to research this BOT thing.
Apparently it goes straight for the registry and sleeps until it is needed.
Wasn't there a story about King Arthur who lived in "Spamalot"?

I have a live.com email address and no spam so far. With my Comcast email I use Outlook 2007 Ultimate that filters out all spam.

No change in my 3 Yahoo mailboxes. Maybe 6-10 per day, total.
