WOW, I am glad all of you detectives were there to see what happen and solve the mystery...
I think the story sounds strange also, but don't find it all strange a guy would back up to the wrong TT of the same model if it wasn't where he dropped it... not much different than the guy that got in my TV and never knew even when the key didn't fit... and his TV was still where he parked it...
it wouldn't take much of a hit to bend the hitch a little if it wasn't raised high enough... I have seen several bent... it couldn't have been bent a lot as according to the story it still went onto the ball...
the comment about the storage key fitting, well I hate to burst your bubble but yes they do fit...
it is to bad we never get to hear both sides of these stories... if it was a mistake it seems like a serious of mistakes, if he was taking it was he leaving his for you, how was he going to pull that off...
I just don't think we heard the whole story or we heard a misunderstood version
of it... but I am not ready the hang the tech based on what I read...

Can't know for sure what happened, real question is why didn't they call you and have it fixed before you came in?

I see how it could happen.
I always get my silver Nissan confused with a Mercedes of the same color.

Just like the character that took both of our brand new propane tanks (less than 6 mos old) and also attempted to take the battery while it was sitting at the RV dealer for follow-up work since our purchase. Must have confused them with his, especially when he put the rusted ones into our tank holders. Hmmmm. Big problem when the dealerships and RV repair centers can't protect your property while it's in their possession for maintenance.

I know thay all fit. My dad has a "MASTER" key...its from his 1977 Prowler that fits them all. Its fun when we go to the lot and look at the new trailers, and he whips out the key to look at how much storage they have...

Obviously the posters who don't believe this could happen are younger than 50. Once we took our propane tank from the campground to fill it. Upon our return I pulled into the site and removed the tank cover. I found myself staring at 2 propane tanks hooked up. Befuddled, I walked to the rear of my truck to touch my tank to make sure I wasn't dreaming. My wife, in the meantime, was walking around the trailer, picking up garbage that somehow had gotten strewn around the trailer. Suddenly it dawned upon both of us that this wasn't our trailer or our site. Ours was in the same location but in the next loop. We ran like thieves in the night but laughing all the way. Lighten up, stuff happens. I'm sure Camping World will make good on it. Not everything is a conspiracy.

I know a guy that woke up in the wrong camper one morning...
of coarse he had been to the club the night before....
everyone laughed about it the next morning, but it could have turned out much worse...

I went back to CW yesterday and they had fixed my hitch. All CW employees I dealt with were very professional and apologetic about the whole thing. Like I told them...if this is the worst the good Lord sends my way, I can't complain.

Actually, I've had 3 different brands of trailer and they all take the very same CH751 key for the storage compartments.
