There's a truck stop in Mojave / Tehacapi, assuming your going thru the desert, and going up the 99frwy to the 198frwy (Visalia) way.

We stayed here in January on our way to/from Yuma. Nothing special but full hookups and easy drive through. The on RV park in Mojave and fairly close to US58.

Just east of Bakersfield theres the Orangecrove RV Park. FYI your best bet to go up to the Parks is Hwy 180, Hwy 198 out of Visalia is steep an crooked. You can see Kings Canyon NP and drive the Generals Hwy over to Sequoia NP. You can dry camp free in between the Parks at Big Meadows just need to water up 1st and use your generator. Have fun.

Good call on Hwy 180. It's been 20+ years since we lived in Visalia. And your right, 198 is twisty.
