We are about to buy a new puppy.....a Papillon. We have a couple of others, and like potato chips, we can't seem to stop at just one!
Anyway, these little dogs are wonderfully friendly, and love to lick our faces. It was because of this compulsion to lick, that we decided to give them "liqour" / licker names. One is "Brandy", another is "Abby"(Absinthe), and now we're looking for another liquor name......and thought I'd ask for some help.
The new pup is a female, and is brown & white, so "Pepper" (Peppermint Schnapps) is out! She's going to be small...maybe about 4-5 pounds when she's full grown! She'll be a handful, but not much more! ha ha!!

Thanks in advance.....

I saw a picture of a female Cavalier on a breeders website that was called "ISLAY". I thought the name was adorable, and if I ever have another Cavalier, that's what her name is going to be, It just seems to fit a small, elegant dog. Much good luck with your new little Pap!

Here is where the name comes from:

"Islay whisky is Scotch whisky made on Islay (pronounced /?a?l??/ eye-luh), the southernmost of the Inner Hebridean Islands located off the west coast of Scotland. There are eight active distilleries on the island, as of early 2008, with a ninth being made ready for production. Islay is a centre of "whisky tourism", and hosts a "Festival of Malt and Music" each year at the end of May, with events and tastings celebrating the cultural heritage of the island.

A brown and white pup - reminds me of a Black and Tan. Black and Tan is a drink made from a blend of pale ale and a dark beer such as a stout or porter.

So... Alli, Sport, Pali, Portia,Tanya, Tani

There is a great drink called Nuts-n-Berries, it is made with Frangelica, a hazelnut liqueur and Chambord, a raspberry liqueur.
Either of those may be cute...BTW my daughter loves that type of dog. Congrats on your new member to the family!
