Can anyone give me web sites for U.S. and Canada that will give me up to date info on food stuffs allowed in each country? Will spend 10 days in Canada and then back to the U.S.

Don't know if any web sites but do know from personal experience (one overnight in Canada) that any beef items that are not marked or stamped with USDA markings will be taken when you attempt to cross back into the U.S. Also, any fruits or vegtables not in orginal U.S. packaging will be confiscated. Going into Canada was not a problem.

We have lost dry dog food in ziplock bags. Even if made in USA. Must be original package,with marking made in USA. This is not always the case but if inspected they will take it. We cross 2-3 times a week and one thing we have found to be consistant in their inconsistancy. As visitor we have been allowed to bring items into canada duty without paying customs. This was the norm for a couple of months. Now they have changed and we pay the fees.
