After reading this post and as we are about to get our first 5ver with slides I was wondering if anyone with a 5ver has had this happen to them. Think we'll make it a habit to use ours!!! If we start doing it from the beginning, it should become a part of the departure routine!

Me either. I think I read, on the thread, that it wasn't an issue with Hydraulic slides. That's what my 5'r has.

Fiver or TT, same difference with the slides - I've never seen the locking mechanisms as our friends have in their slide room on their Class A. Never had a problem in all the times we've gone down the road.

I just bought my Fiver on April 30 (Jayco Super Eagle Lite 30.5 FBHS). I spoke to a friend of mine before I had my walkthrough and he gave me a list of things to ask about. So I asked about locks on the slide outs and the technician said they weren't required on that model and didn't come with them. I have read the manual and it doesn't mention locks either. I hope I'm safe.

Ahhh - that explains it.

No bars came with my slide - no mention of them in the manual or at PDI - never had a problem.
