I currently have a 2007, 2500 short bed Dodge Diesel. I am looking for some help. I know if you are going to use a 5th wheel Hitch it has to be a slider. What I want to know is I am looking at towing a Cyclone Toy hauler that is approx 38' long. Just want to know what you have done to the pickup itself, or even if anyone is towing something that big. Any help or suggestions would be great, Thank you.

That big of a toy hauler will likely exceed any number you want to use, GVWR/GCWR/GAWR you name it. Not the best of ideas IMHO!!
Just did a quick search if that is model 3295 it has an 18,000 GVWR number on it. That is almost too much for most duallies and way too much for any 3/4 ton.
This is squarely in the classification of NO!

As long as the weight is within the manufacturers ratings you shouldn't have to do ANYTHING to the truck. If you DO need to do mods the rating is apparently not accurate. Good luck / Skip

I don't think I would want to tow that rig with a short bed.

I tow a 39 foot 5'er TH with my Dodge 3500 DRW short bed and have the superglide.
Tows it like a dream.
I would be more concerned with having the DRW. Something that big with an SRW would in my opinion be a handful.
The short bed is fine for towing, you just need a couple extra wheels..

I cross the scales at around 12,500 loaded with more than 2,000lbs of pin weight in my '06 3500 5.9. I put FireStone air bags on it to keep off the overloads. I don't think I would want to be much heavier. Not that I am part of the weight police but you are talking about ALOT more weight unloaded.

I been towing a fifth wheel for decades with short boxes without a slider. But we won't get into that.

Oh Boy! That trailer will have a loaded pin weight of around 3500#. Add 1000# of hitch, people and stuff to your truck and you need a 4500# truck payload plus a GCWR of 26000#.
Ain't a 3/4 ton truck out there that even comes close. Most 1-tons would be overloaded other than perhaps the F350 Tow Boss.

All men over age 50 should get an annual PSA blood test. Mine had a low reading, but the yearly jump was significant. The biopsy showed cancer just entering the aggressive stage. Dr. Hackenslash removed it.
