OK guys,

A few days ago I asked about tires for my 250SD... I have narrowed it down to two different Michelins from Sam's Club... They are as follows:

LT265/54R16E XRLTS @ 769.52 for 4 installed, balanced, mounted OR

LT265/75R16E LTXMS @ $736.48 for 4 installed, balanced, mounted...

Which of the two is better for my application of mostly towing???

Any and all comments appreciated...

Les

IMHO tire number two. The 54 sidewall profile is more for show than go. And way too wide for a stock rim size.

There is no 54 sidewall profile.

LT265/54R16E XRLTS must be a typo.

Unless you are racing, the 75 profile will give a MUCH better ride.

Of those two tires,I'd go with the LTX MS.

In Illinois I'd also look at the Michelin AT/2.

I like a bit more snow traction than the two your looking at would give.

LT265/75R16E 123/120R ORWL Michelin X Radial LT at Sams Club is the LT265/54R16E XRLTS typo.
