I would highly recommend Cactus Country RV Resort on Houghton Rd. It is right off of I-10 at Exit 275 and north about 1/2 mile. Reasonable rates, pool, etc. It isn't a large park and has two sections. One for non pet owners and another for pet owners.

The park is part of Adventure Bound park system.

There is a very nice state park north of town and the BPOE may have camp space.

End of may you will want full hook ups for sure as it will be very HOT, especially coming from Canada. Check online or ask the RV Dealer.

Fellow Albertan here!... some will recommend Voyager but I suggest you avoid it... BIG park with too much traffic & poor sites for my taste. Beaudry's park in the south end seems to be much nicer.

If you like more of the 'camping' experience you might want to consider Catalina State Park, just north of the city.

EH!

We like Catalina State Park and Gilbert Ray Park.

You could always stay at Beaudry's campground while you are purchasing your unit there. It would be convenient and it's a nice place. If you are trading a unit they provide you a space to exchange your stuff from what I hear.

I second the suggestion that you avoid Voyagers. Too big, too unfriendly staff for my taste.

Gilbert Ray is nice, but they don't have full hookups and I would assume you would like to check everything out on the motor home while you were in the area.

We stayed at numerous places for the months of January & February of this year. You are more than welcome to look at photos on our website. Gilbert Ray was our favorite.

We enjoyed Gilbert Ray CG in Tucson Mountain County Park a few years ago. It had electric hookups & dump station. Great view, and close to Sonora Desert Museum, Old Tucson Studios & Saguaro NP West.

We live in the Tucson area and have seen virtually all the parks - we avoided Prince of Tucson as it is right next to a sewage treatment plant and sure don't recommend it. Voyager is large but probably has the most to offer. Beaudry is nice but salespeople will inundate you - and we just don't think it is all that great. We were not that impressed with Cactus Country but it was ok. Our recommendation would be Rincon West.
