Anyone have a simple knife sharpener that sharpens a very dull knife fast, and very sharp ? I found one that IMO, out performs ALL others, bar none ! I consider it to be "awesome" !
have never seen that one. however, growing up we had one that looked just like it that was built to the back of a can opener and it did an excellent job at sharpening everything.
The Chef's Choice Model 120 or 130 sharpener might be the best, including for serrated edges (just sharpen the smooth side).
I sure like mine.
I'm free of prostate cancer for 5 years now.
All men over age 50 should get an annual PSA blood test. Mine had a low reading, but the yearly jump was significant. The biopsy showed cancer just entering the aggressive stage. Dr. Hackenslash removed it.
The problem with those sharpeners is the amount of steel that they remove in their sharpening process. They can take a good knife down real fast. I use a Lansky, not fast, but it does a good job.

I prefer the WartHog Warthog. A little pricey but does a perfect job every time and quickly.

I've used the Landsky sharpening system for many years on hunting, pocket and kitchen knives. While not really fast, it will put a razor sharp edge on a good knife. The kit comes with 3 to 5 stones that are mounted on a rod. The knife and rod are mounted to a holder that maintains the selected angle and makes sharpening foolproof. They can be found in the sporting goods departments. Probably had mine 25 years and will last forever.

Another vote for the Lansky system. The sharpening angle can be selected which can be important depending on what you are sharpening.
My pocket knife and my wife's kitchen knives are sharp enough to shave hair off my arm when I use the Lansky.
