I have seen two quart size water coolers that sit on the counter and use 120 VAC. They also have internal replaceable filters. They look like Early American or Italian pottery with a metal faucet style dispenser on the side and a lid like the old crocks with similar shape.

Hamilton Beach makes a countertop that is 120V and dispenses Hot and Cold water. We purchased ours 1-1/2 yrs ago when we started FTing. In our first 5er it sat on the counter with 3 gal water jugs but with our new 5er it only has room for 2 gal under the kitchen counter. I already had 4 of the 3 gal jugs so I still fill them at the machines and transfer the water to the 2 gal jug. It's actually easier to turn the jug upside down when putting it on the cooler when it's not so full.

P.S. We bought ours at Wally World.

Crazy Ray,
We use the big water cooler in the house with cold and hot water spiget.
We have the 5 gallon bottles delivered. They last quite long. I meant I didnt want to have to buy the cases of water. We don't have alot of room in our small refrigerator. I am happy to see someone does use the water cooler in their travels. I am interested in the water filters though. Can someone give me more info about these. I never considered drinking the water from the faucet. It really makes it drinkable????

We used a couple good outside filters to remove quite a bit of the bad stuff found in some areas of the country.. They can be found at camping world, lowes, home depot, etc..
we used a nature pure water filter, placed under the sink area with a separate faucet, for our drinking, cooking water.. It also supplied water to the ice maker.. We bought ours at camping world..
Made the water very drinkable..

Britta - gives you the best tasting water we've had and something just galls me about buying water for a couple dollars a gallon.

We pay 25-35 cents for a gallon of filtered water. We use it for coffee and drinking.
