My DW just takes TX1015, peels, cut almost through in a cross pattern, adds butter and Mrs.Dash to top and Microwaves for a minute ot two depending on size. That is the simplest and best veggie you can serve and it DELICIOUS!! Last Sunday it was Steak and 1015's Nothing beats this!

Made some coleslaw and added a little chopped Vidalia onion, it was very good.

Never heard of TX1015 onions, gonna have to look for these and give them a try.

Thanks for the recipes and sandwich ideas, keep 'em coming!

I cut one up, put it on some foil added some butter, rolled up the foil and placed the thing on the grill for about 15 minutes. Ate some on my hamburger and then finished up the rest right out of the foil...mmmmmm good !

Last night I made caramelized onion and portabella pizzas on the grill. Took some Vidalia sliced and browned them and the sliced shrooms, in butter,(the sugar content in the onions makes them caramelized really nicely) throw some stretched dough on the grill, lightly brown on both sides (watch it closely cuz it will burn quickly), take off grill cover once side with onion/mushroom mixture and top with favorite cheese - we really like feta and a small bit of Mozzarella. Talk about yummy!!!! Now Im hungry again....

Peel the onion and cut out a bowl shaped orifice on top about half way down.Make about 8 crosscuts down to the depth of the bottom of the bowl. Put butter in the bowl you created along with some BBQ rub of choice. Dice up onion you removed creating bowl and place in a small mixing bowl with a liberal amount of BBQ sauce of choice and mix then place back in center of onion and any remaining around base of onion which you have previously placed on foil. Place on grill of 350 degrees for about 1 hour. Test for doneness by sticking with a fork. I like to cook mine on high the last 15 minutes to carmelize the bottom as this is the best to me.
