How is it? We love the Ripley's aquarium in Gatlinburg, Tn, and wondered if this one was worth the effort. We've also been to the one's in Charleston,SC Chattanoga, Tn and Manteo, NC.

We have been there a couple of times and it is excellent and well worth going to. Might take a few hours to get through it but again well worth it.

Try this www.flaquarium.org for more info. When you go, be sure to visit the WW2 Liberty Ship moored out back in the channel. There is a self guided tour, and takes about two hours. It does get warm in the Summer months, so dress accordingly. Restruants are within walking distance range from very nice to HOOTERS, which may be one in the same depending on your view. Also, the St. Pete Times Forum, home to the Tampa Bay Lightning Hockey Team is several hundred yards away, if you are lucky to score some tickets. Have a great time.

Can't tell you about that one, but we were to both of the TN ones and numerous others. You may want to try Atlanta sometime also. They are now adding a Dolphin exhibit that will open in 2010. We loved it there and have a child with Aspergers Syndrome that wants to be a Marine biologist. So we went on the behind the scenes tour. Not cheap, but a very good tour. We never saw the "backside" of an aquarium before that. We were talking about going back for the dolphins, so maybe we can add Florida onto that same trip.

They also have a catamaran tour of the bay to see dolphins and bird islands in the bay -- I haven't tried but heard it's an intersting couple of hours

I've been to 6 or 7 around the nation and it's one of my favorites. Maybe just because it has so many things I grew up with. It's well worth it.
