Hello! I have a 2003 Coleman Niagara with the cassette toilet (thetford). The level indicator for the holding tank has come off inside the tank and no longer works. I can see it (I believe that's what it is) and it is a white plastic thing with a little hinge and what looks like a spongy foam thing in it. Does anyone know where/how I can reattach it so it will work? It sounds gross, I know, but the holding tank is extremely clean right now because I clorox clean it after each trip and I don't mind messing with it if I know I can fix this. Thanks!

I had this problem with my 2005 Fleetwod Newport. Go to Thetfords web site they have a online manual just make sure you use the right one for you model. It's kinda of a pain to get your hand in there to re-attach the float but it can be done. It took me a couple of trys to get it locked back in place but its been fine since I rehooked it a couple of years ago.

I think I may have the same problem.....mine has an idicator light that is suppose to come on when the waste tank is full....it was pretty full last weekend with no light.....I imagine the float is in the holding tank being there is no connection to the waste tank.

Beer Belly, If yours has a holding tank there is probably something on your float. try using a cleaner made for the tank. lets it set in there awhile to clean off anything on the float. I had this prblem when I had a T.T.

I don't have a holding tank as a TT would.....but my toilet holds fresh water and the cassette holds the waste. Being there is no electrical connection on the waste tank (cassette)....I would imagine that it tracks how much fresh water is flushed to determine how much is in the waste tank, there is a little light that is supposed come on when the waste is full.....mine has never come on and the last trip out, it was pretty full

The non-electric light versions use a float with a magnet inside the waste tank (casette) to operate a green/red indicator. I would suspect that yours uses a magnetic float to signal a magnetic operated switch when it is full.

I would try filling it full with clean water and then inserting it into the PUP. If the light doesn't come on then, probably a problem. I know that the mechancial indicator stays green until it gets REALLY full. You don't want to keep using it when it changes, at least on mine. As they are probably using a similar float, you may not get much warning.

I have a .pdf for replacing/installing the float inside the Thetford casettes - it is a service bulletin type of thing. It has color picturs and instructions. I will be happy to email it to anyone who wants it. I don't feel like putting it up on my website right now.
