I have had good luck with my Tyvek Adco cover. It definately keeps the trailer clean over the winter months and when I remove it in the spring my TT still looks like new. 3 seasons so far and it looks like it will be fine for a 4th.
That said, where we live, snow is non-existant, rain during the winter is common, high winds are very rare and low temp is just below freezing. That adds up to a climate that is pretty easy on things. Dust is the biggest problem and the cover keeps it off.
From the posts I have read in the past, high winds are the biggest problem for these covers.
I agree that they are not worth what they cost. I have the tyvek cover for my TT. there are rips and tear all over. everytime I go to zip it up there is another tear. It is only a year old. the top section is good, but the side material sucks.

What about just using one of those blue tarps that are 40x50 (or whatever is necessary. Just like what you could cover a pool with. Then weigh down the corners like Dick does with his tarp? If you got it wide enough, you could bring it down (or maybe needing 2) to the wheel level and then cinch it tight around the base. Wouldn't that do?

To some degree it would depend on your climate. Moisture and mold are the main problems storing in humid climates. Having a cover the has the ability to breathe is important. Blue tarps do not. Things like the Max Air vent covers help as you can leave the vents open without rain getting in. The other problem related to covers is regarding wind. If the cover flaps, it will not only destroy itself, but also may damage your trailer.
I took mine off a couple of weeks ago, first winter. no problems anywhere, except the sewer vent I didn`t protect. just a slight wear mark on the cover, but no holes or tears. my buddy has had his for 2 years now and no problems anywhere except for the waste valve handle which he thought was far enough under the trailer, small hole at the very bottom of the cover.

I have a custom made ADCO and couldn't be happier - their customer service is great! When I purchased my cover, they had never built one for my particular model - sent them all the detailed measurements they asked for, but still had a problem that one strap for underneath was right over a wheel. One call to them, send it back and they are moving strap, plus checking for any wear; if they see any worn spots, they are going to add fleece padding - All at No Charge. I just have to pay for shipping - not too many places willing to do that anymore.
If you are unhappy with your cover, contact Paul at ADCO covers - from my experience with them, at least with my Custom Cover, they seem very dedicated to having satisfied customers.
If you search this topic a bit, you will see where I did a lot of research on the various cover makers, fabrics available, and what boils down to cost-to-lifespan as based on warranty length. Turns out they're pretty similar when looked at this way.
I went with ADCO's universal model with Tyvek roof panel and polypropylene side panels. It held up beautifully through the NJ winter, and I live right off the Delaware River and am subjected to frequent, high-gust winds throughout the winter as a result. We just had a Nor'Easter, and winds were clocked at 64mph gusts and I have my first hole in the cover. It's the size of a quarter. The extreme winds worked my cushioning off of the gutter extension at the rear road corner and it wore through. Fortunately, the polypropylene fabric is a non-woven fabric so it will not continue to tear. The included patch with allow me to patch inside and outside, but I called anyway and they are sending me out additional patch kits under warranty at no charge...
