Ok so here's the story - I'm going on the Hot Rod power tour in a few weeks and will need campgrounds in each city that are nice, but not too far from town. I'd like to have a dump station and a place to just get some rest and cook breakfast. I don't plan to spend much time at the CG... just pull in, sleep, get up, eat and leave.

I'm also looking for a nice spot to stay in Branson, MO for a week - this will be with the family - 2 kids - 2.5 years and 4 months and the wife...

Here's my schedule:

Saturday, 6/7/08
Arkansas State Fairgrounds - Little Rock, AR
Kickoff Cruise Night Sponsored by Painless Performance.

Sunday, 6/8/08
Missouri Entertainment and Event Center - Springfield, MO

Monday, 6/9/08
Heartland Park - Topeka, KS

Tuesday, 6/10/08
Nebraska State Fair Park - Lincoln, NE
Cruise Night Sponsored by Edelbrock.

Wednesday, 6/11/08
Iowa State Center - Ames, IA

Thursday, 6/12/08
Rochester Community & Technical College - Rochester, MN

Friday, 6/13/08
The Alliant Energy Center - Madison, WI

Anyone care to give me your suggestions?

You'd get a good idea as to ratings of the campgrounds in those various areas by checking www.rvparkreviews.com.

www.reserveamerica.com, www.koa.com, with a schedule like that, I would use truck stops, Walmarts, Cracker Barrels, etc..

You may be able to rent a space at some of the venues for the show as a lot of fair grounds have at least electric and water hook ups. Otherwise I would contact the Chamber of Commerces of the towns you are going to visit as they will know the closest camp grounds. Our town has a MH park next to the fair grounds that takes campers that is not in any directory but the Chamber knows

The State Fair Park in Lincoln has a campground. Nothing fancy, but full hookups & very reasonable.
