After months of looking on-line, at shows and at dealers we traded our 02 Kiwi 23B for a new Jayco 291 RLTS. We picked it up on Thursday and went camping with our local Good Sam chapter this weekend. It towed much better than the trailer and there were no problems beyond getting used to all of the features on a new rig. It sure is nice to have a bed that is already made, slides that go out with the push of a button, a gas/electric water heater that lights automatically, and a nice new LCD TV that gets broadcast HD signals. The last was great on Saturday night watching the race at Darlington. Best of all is the big increase in living and storage space.
Jayco makes a quality unit but I think the dealer is even more important. The unit was totally prepped and they spent an hour and a half going over everything inside and outside. I know we may still encounter some items that need attention, but we did not find anything wrong this weekend and we tried every system on the rig except the AC.

We are looking forward to lots of weekends and then in a couple of years a few months at a time with this rig.

Enjoy your new Jayco for many years to come. All R.V.s will have some problems,
I have a 2006 Designer 31RLTS that had a few small problems dealer fixed right away.
My camping buddy has a 2006 39' Teton that has been in the shop almost every month since July 2006.
It is now in Casper WY.since 1/24/08 He has no idea when it will be back and very few returned calls from them saying when it will be back.

You're correct. Jayco is a good unit but you also need a good dealer. I have both. I'll stay with Jayco.
