In the process of trying to find my first hauler. Im currently looking at an 06 attitude 26 fsak. No warranty private seller. 3600 watt gen. Any advice?
thanks,
tj
Depends on what your looking for in a toy hauler?. I always say buy your 2nd one first. Is price an issue? how many bikes or quads will you take? Oh and dont forget about the family too.
Try and make sure it's the right one for you. Does it have all the features you want/need? Do you like the bathroom? The overall floor plan? Will it hold your toys and the toys you think you may get later? Is the price right for the year, model, and condition?
JMO but I would never go in thinking "this isn't really what I want but I'll "upgrade" later)
I bought a gently used '06 last Nov. No regrets and it seems more like home everytime I use it.
I've got that exact trailer which I also bought used from a private seller last June. Just a few things to think about.
1. The bathroom is small! I can't sit on the toilet with the door closed. To use the toilet, I leave the door open and close the curtains. Not a big deal.
2. The tires that came on the unit deteriorated over the winter to the point that I couldn't use them this year. Wound up going to 16" rims so I could buy some LT tires. About $700 for wheels (cheap white trailer rims) and tires (BFG Commercial TAs).
3. The futon in the front bed didn't cut it for my wife and I. We bought a regular mattress.
4. Last weekend I went out with 5 buddies. We had 6 bikes loaded with no problems. Still plenty of room for all our gear, food, etc. The 26 gallon fuel tank doesn't last as long as you might think! We made it through the weekend but just barely.
5. This weekend I went out with the family. My bike, two mid-sized quads, three bicycles, lots of other stuff. Once again, no problem.
6. Once this trailer gets fully loaded it is heavy! I didn't see a Tow Vehicle (TV) in your signature. Make sure your truck is up to the task. I've got an older Ford powerstroke (97) and quite honestly I feel like I'm right at the limit of what I'm comfortable pulling with that truck.
7. You'll need a good weight distributing hitch with some sort of sway control. Even at that, you need to pay attention to how you load the trailer. This weekend I didn't have near as much weight as I did last weekend. I just loaded everything into the back of the trailer and took off. It wasn't long before I realized my mistake. Too much weight behind the axles. It wasn't dangerous but I could certainly feel it pushing me around. I stopped and moved all the loose stuff as far foward as I could and was fine after that. (By the way, I've got an Equalizer hitch)
8. The kitchen area is pretty small. Not a lot of room for food prep.
In general, we're very happy with the trailer. This is our first RV of any kind and we're really enjoying it. From what I've seen the Attitudes aren't anywhere near the fanciest trailers out there but I think they are very practical for getting out there and playing. For example, there's no carpet so it's easy to sweep out all the crud that gets tracked in during the day. When we get home, I just drop the ramp and fire up the leaf blower. Cleans the interior real quick. I do wish there was more interior storage, but I think that's probably true of all RVs.
Hope this helps and good luck with your decission!

I have the same trailer, it's been a good trailer. There have been problems but nothing too bad. I did just replace all of the bolts on the suspension only because I never had it serviced and it was rusty and failed.
Check nada online for used pricing. Hopefully you get a good deal. Its a great trailer for a family since you get the front room. We added a folding door for some privacy from the kids.
