Has anyone thought about or even remember the gas shortages, limits and lines from years back? Remember the "OUT OF GAS" signs? What if that happens again? What if your thousands of miles from home and they put a 10 gallon limit on gas again? That sounds pretty scary to me. It could take a year to get home. I know, when pigs fly, right?
So, what do you think.........could it happen AGAIN????

Well then I guess you would be stuck on a long vacation.

Not to worry. Products are not in short supply.

I always loved that guy in the "The Birds" - the little Irish guy in the diner. He only had one line, but he kept repeating it, "It's the end o' the world!"

At 8 MPG, that means you gas up again every 80 miles or so. If you get the odds and evens going too, and gas up three times a day, it takes you a couple weeks to cross the continent. But that's pretty boring. It's way more interesting to think of it as a doomsday project. Or a post holocaust Thunderdome thing.

The Oil Company's are earning record amounts of money and as long as they use this money to pay off our elected officials instead of building refineries you are never going to get the government to regulate the oil company's again. It is called a Monopoly.

There is plenty of gas. No shortage. Just greed. Much like it was in the 70's (I'm not convinced there ever was an actual shortage......and we can talk about the 1969 alleged moon landing later!!)........

If it does happen again:
'This' time while I sit in line waiting for gas.....I will have a TV to watch and the use of my own personal bathroom. AND if the line is real long I can make a pot of coffee sit back and have dinner.... instead of listening to my 455 rumbling devouring gas while idling and ending up having to push her thru the line because she ran out.
Oh the good ole days!
